I tried to think of the words they say with Extreme Home Makeover when they let the people into their extravagantly free new homes, but that’s about as close as I got. But imagine I got it right and get excited because we are going to go check out the school where lives are going to be absolutely renovated, souls will be saved and God will get all the glory, the new home of the White House Campus! On July 11th (This use to say the 13th but it was wrong! Please correct your calendars.) at 7:00 we are going to go look at the auditorium, answer questions, check out where you’ll put your thousands of kids (Seriously, we are already a very fertile campus, the cook out was overrun with the evidence!) and pray pray pray. I really cannot think of a more fun Friday night. Outside of trips to Europe or really expensive food, hanging out with my new family is just tops. Last night we had our big event at the park in White House and it was truly fantastic. We ran out of plates and cups, we cooked all of our meat, and the people of God met together! What amazing Grace to have so many people respond to the work that God is doing! I was struck by the fact that the church, stated 2000 years ago by our Lord, continues to thrive. Throughout the night, people connected together not because we all love the Titans or UT football (Go Vols!) or scrapbooking or little kid soccer or fill in the blank, we connected because of what the Lord has done in our lives. He gets all the glory!
Bro. David came and gave us a strong admonition to keep the mission in mind. He reminded us that we are going to make so many mistakes, but that the mission is what matters. He asked for grace on the leadership (Whoo hoo!) and continued commitment to seeing the gospel move forward in White House. Such an amazing night!

A question many of you young parents might be asking is, “What will the preschool area look like?” Appropriately, or maybe not yet so, for this blog, I have your answer. The preschool will be meeting in the gym in WHHS. The gym? Won’t that be gross? Glad you asked. We are actually purchasing several pieces of equipment from a company called Portable Church Industries (http://www.portablechurch.com/) that will turn the gym into a not just suitable but excellent preschool space. There will be portable pop-up walls that will designate the areas and flooring that will go over the gym. There will be changing stations, rocking chairs and all the teaching materials needed. Check out this video to see a little of the competency of the company and just how quickly we can set this stuff up.
In the bottom left corner it shows the time as they move through the set up and the total was only 16:44! Not too bad. We won’t be setting up all the stage stuff as in the video, but still, pretty quick set-up.

I don’t really know what some of that stuff means, but I was in the auditorium Saturday and the paint looks excellent. They painted the roof black and the walls a brownish reminicent of the Hendersonville and Gallatin Campus sanctuaries. The other sound and video stuff will be going in as per the timeline. That’s right, not just bread…hamburgers. The White House community is cooking out as a Campus on the 27th of this very month at the municipal park there in WH. We are going to be at Shelter 3 at 6:30 and I want you to come! It is going to be a family affair with all the joy and excitement you have come to expect from cook outs multiplied by a million! (Just to be clear, that’s a little excessive, maybe not a million, but definitely 100,000.) Bring your kids; bring your friends; bring a side, drink or dessert; and bring your expectations for the campus. I will be there with answers for your questions or at least the phone numbers of the people who have the answers!
